At Elite Trust, we believe in being committed to educating and offering health and survival services to make way to a more empowered generation of Indian society. Our trust was established and founded by Mr.K.Karunakaran on the 28th day of December 2010.
The very reason to initiate this service was in response to the horrible conditions of children and communities witnessed in rural India during the Tsunami disaster in the early 2004s. This charitable trust is a registered non-governmental, non-religious and non-profitable social service organization established in 1991 with the sole objective of serving two segments of neglected people in distress - the old destitute with no trace of family and the abandoned young ones.
Our vision is to eradicate poverty and change the course of people’s lives, especially for the ones suffering from poverty and diseases to make them self-sustainable. We believe to serve and excel in care for poor communities through education and healthcare. We have been successfully rendering service with more humility and humanity for the past twenty years in Eraiyur village, Sriperumbudur Taluk near Chennai.
Our best long-term strategy is to invest in children, poverty, ignorance, fear and neglect to establish peace, stability, and prosperity in the world, starting from India. Mr.K.Karunakaran has with his immense passion and hardwork has built Elite Trust to what it is today, and has also maintained solid working relationships with Indian Ministries, Provincial officials and local community leaders in the areas where we operate. Their work is supported through key partnerships we developed with other organizations, individual donors, and foundations over time. This intellect - Mr.K.Karunakaran has worked to alleviate poverty in India since 2001 and has specially brought major relief aids to tsunami affected communities.
Today, we have over 90 volunteer members who work in the central, southern and southeastern portions of Tamilnadu. Elite Trust has 12A (a), 11 ,35AC, FCRA and 80 G of the income tax (Registration ID – 4/11) and all contributions to Elite Trust are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
